FOREST MEDICINES
The Amazon Rainforest is the largest reserve of medicinal plants in the world. The Yawanawá people have extensive knowledge of the flora of their region.
The term “forest medicines” encompasses preparations derived from plants or animals such as Ayahuasca, Rapé, Sananga, Kambo and a series of plants used to heal the spiritual, emotional, physical and mental body.
The Yawanawá people have an ancient tradition of usinG Ayahuasca (Uni) to bring healing, understanding, transformation and harmonize different situations. It is a sacred medicine of great power considered a living spirit, endowed with its own wisdom and intelligence.
During the experience there will be three ceremonies with Uni guided by Yawanawá healing songs. They will be unique experiences for the awakening and expansion of consciousness.
Rape (Snuff) is a powder made from tobacco and tree bark ash. These ashes are called medicines, as snuff is not prepared with ashes of any kind of tree, but with those that have specific properties. Snuff can be used individually through a Kuripe, or blown by one person on another, with a tepi.
Sananga is considered the natural eye candy of the Amazon rainforest. It operates in two aspects of healing: physical and spiritual. One of the active ingredients in the liquid is ibogaine.
The tradition is to drip drops of the plant's root juice into the eyes
to clarify spiritual vision.
